The Retinal Circuits Lab

Headed by Dr. Greg Field, our laboratory studies how the retina processes visual scenes and transmits this information to the rest of the brain. We use a variety of experimental approaches to understand how the healthy retina signals everything we see and how this process deteriorates in retinal degenerative diseases. We are interested in many different topics related to retinal physiology, neurobiology, and vision science.  This website provides a sense of the range of research topics we are interested in and the kinds of problems we solve.
